Have some money to spend on your gaming rig but don’t know what to buy? read this and then you will know what to buy.
CPU
CPU (central processing unit) is the best way to upgrade your gaming rig. The CPU is like the brain of a computer its main function is to fetch, decode, execute, and basely takes the instruction decided what to do with it and then the instruction is performed and the better the CPU the faster it fetch, decode, execute and cores are small CPU built into a big CPU. It can independently perform or process all computational tasks basic the more core the better.
The CPU I would recommend is the ryzen 5 3600 or for a little extra you could get the ryzen 7 2700x because they a very good CPU for the price. It can run most games at recommended settings.
GPU
Getting a better GPU is a good way of improving performance GPUs make it so want you want to render an image it will rapidly manipulate and alter memory to accelerate the creation of images in a frame buffer intended for output to a display.
If decided to get better GPU make sure that you have a CPU that’s better or equal to the GPU because if you don’t then your GPU will only output what the CPU can give to the GPU for example if you don’t have a good CPU but have a good GPU then your CPU won’t be able to keep up with the graphics card therefore won’t be able to output its full potential.
If you don’t know what GPU you want then you can go check out my post about GPUs to decided which GPU is the best for you and your budget.
Storage
getting a SSD is very beneficial because while the HDD are priced lower SSDs are faster and more power efficient then HDDs. Although SSD are good HDDs are also good for storing lots of large files which makes them good for holding photos, videos and games and I would also recommend that you put windows or whatever operating system you have into the SSD.
It’s a good idea to go for a smaller SSD, around 160GB-256GB to have programs such as your operating system and use a HDD to store other files where speed is not needed as much. There are also hybrids drives known as SSDHs which have the best of both drives with the speeds of SSDs and capacities of HDDs in one drive which is worth considering if you don’t have space in your device for multiple hard drives.
RAM
When looking for RAM, looking for the right balance between capacity and speed. Slow 32GB RAM is probably the best, and neither is 8GB of fast RAM.
For gaming there are advantages to getting RAM. Although it won’t have as profound of an effect as upgrading the processor or graphics card, faster RAM can improve game performance.
DDR4 RAM speed begins at around 1600MHz which is not very fast compared to today’s standards. The late processors are capable of supporting speeds of up to around 3000MHz without overclocking (practice of increasing the clock rate of a computer to exceed that certified by the manufacturer) for example ryzen 9 5900x processors supports 2933MHz at the stock specifications.
When buying RAM or any PC parts it must be compatible with your motherboard and processor RAM goes into the memory slots on the motherboard, RAM that’s not compatible with your system either won’t fit or won’t function properly.
Conclusion
In conclusion the best way to upgrade your gaming PCs performance is by buying a CPU and or GPU is the best way to massively improve your performance power supplies and motherboard are not needed to be upgraded unless you need more power for your components need more RAM slots or have a possessor/graphics card that not compatible with your current motherboard, motherboards or power supplies don’t improve frame. When buying any PC parts you need to make sure that it is compatible with your motherboard you can use this website to see if any of your parts are compatible click here.
